What is a regular day for you in the Early Childhood School?
As a preschool teacher, I get to have fun all day long! I’m always kept on my toes with the quick wit of the children at the Early Childhood School. They help me to come up with our lessons and my classroom environment. Throughout our week, we do math, science, process art, language and literacy, and S.T.E.M, all while having fun and learning through play!
What drew you to work at the J?
A previous manager who was working at the ECS told me to check into the JCC and invited me for a tour. I was so shocked at how many opportunities the J provided both children and staff and was very excited to be offered an interview. Since I started my experience at The J I’ve gotten to know some of the most amazing children, families and coworkers in my career. I have been very lucky to get to watch the children grow up and have had so many families come back to tell us how amazing their child is doing thanks to The Early Childhood School.
What gets you excited to come in every day?
I love working in my classroom and with the children and families at the ECS. Daily, I am reminded of what the future can be with the children in my care. I also love that I can express my creativity and learn every day from everyone around me.
What do you do in your free time?
I am happily married and spend most of my free time playing board games, video games, and crafting! We both love Disney, Marvel, and we love traveling to Disney every year!
