Navigating Intergenerational Relationships

Relationships change over time between parents and children, regardless of which one you are. It’s important to understand each other as we age together, no matter what stage of life. Join us for one of these engaging groups for you and your loved ones to learn more about how to respect the changes and developments in each other’s lives!

If you are interested in joining either one, please contact Louis Liner at 513.761.7500 ext. 1226 or [email protected], or complete the interest form below.

These programs are made possible through a generous grant from the Jewish Home of Cincinnati.

Navigating Intergenerational Relationships

Parents of Adult Children

2nd Tuesday of each Month
11:30am – 12:30pm l Mayerson JCC
Facilitators: Louis Liner and Elaine Hordes

We all want to be treated with dignity and respect, particularly as we age, and sometimes the more things change the more we want them to stay the same. Adult children can have different ideas about what is best for themselves and their parents. Meet with us to discuss challenges including maintaining and improving relationships, setting boundaries, communicating needs, navigating difficult conversations, and more.

Feel free to bring lunch.

Applicable for parents of young adult children and older!

Navigating Intergenerational Relationships

Adult Children of Aging Parents

4th Tuesday of each month
6:30pm | Mayerson JCC
Facilitators: Louis Liner and Leslie Brody

More adults these days find themselves becoming a caregiver for a family member, especially as the older demographic continues to grow in number. While there are many resources available for adult children who are caring for their aging parents, challenges often arise when locating these resources, as well as identifying and connecting with people in similar situations who understand their needs. The Mayerson JCC 60 & Better Center, in partnership with Jewish Family Service, invite you to participate in this group to explore and address challenges of caring for an aging parent.
