Adult Programs

Personal training programs at the J combine expert instruction with state-of-the-art amenities to help you reach your fitness goals! Improve your workouts with one of our highly skilled and educated personal trainers who can help you achieve your personal fitness goals (weight loss, toning, post-rehabilitation, increasing strength, etc.) through programs design, support, motivation, education, and more!

Overview

We offer private, small group, and partner training, as well as specialized Pilates Reformer training. To start your training out right, you’ll receive a free InBody® health and fitness body composition assessment when you sign up for personal training.

Our certified personal trainers will provide you with:

  • Results-based training consultations
  • Fitness and/or health assessments appropriate for your needs and goals
  • A program based around a variety of exercises including core, resistance, flexibility, and cardiovascular training

When you join the J, your first personal training session is on us!

Personal Training Options

Traditional Personal Training

Traditional Personal Training will give you a guided workout based on your individualized exercise needs. Our certified personal trainers will provide you with:

  • Results-based training consultations
  • Fitness and/or health assessments appropriate for your needs and goals
  • A program based around a variety of exercises including core, resistance, flexibility, and cardiovascular training

We offer various Traditional Personal Training sessions:

  • Private One-on-One Training (one-hour sessions): This is a traditional, full hour of individualized personal training during each session.
  • Express One-on-One (30-minute sessions): This program is designed for those with a tight schedule, looking for a more concentrated workout. You’ll receive a comprehensive workout, in a shorter period of time.
  • Partner Training (two people, one-hour sessions): Are you looking for the opportunity to train with a friend? Partner training is a great way to increase your commitment to a fitness regimen!
  • Group Training (three to six people, one-hour sessions): This is a great way to involve your friends, family, and coworkers to get the boost you need to exercise together.
Pilates Personal Training

We offer Mat Pilates Personal Training and Pilates Reformer Personal Training at the J, both of which will help you connect with your inner self while focusing on increased strength and endurance. Our Pilates certified personal trainers have specialized training to ensure proper form to increase the productivity of your movements.

Pilates Reformer Studio

Our innovative Pilates Reformer Studio offers a private setting with 5 reformer machines. More than 100 exercises can be performed on this surprisingly versatile apparatus that works with a system of springs and straps. Exercises on the Reformer improve torso stability and postural alignment while working limbs in a range of motion. You’ll receive an effective, no-impact workout that is also joint friendly. Yoga Personal Training

We offer many styles of Yoga Personal Training to fit your specific needs and skill level. Located in our private yoga studio, you can exercise without distractions in a calm, relaxed environment. Our certified personal trainers will provide:

A guided yoga workout tailored to your individual needs
Instruction focused on flexibility, muscle tone, endurance, concentration, and balance
Increased joint range of motion, enhanced athletic performance, and spine decompression to alleviate pain in the lower back and hips

Suspension Training

The Mayerson JCC is proud to bring the largest Queenax unit in the tri-state to our members! This adult jungle gym promotes functional training movements for a high-intensity, fun, full-body workout.

Functional training has become an increasingly popular fitness trend in recent years. On our Queenax functional unit, members will be able to swing from the bars, push themselves to the limit, strengthen muscles, and increase stamina all while feeling like a kid again.
