Inclusion Fitness Classes

Adult & Teen Programs

Our inclusive fitness classes are for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities who are able to participate independently or with the help of their own personal care assistant.

Adapted Basketball

Overview

In these engaging fitness classes, participants will improve their fitness level, learn new skills, and socialize with each other. Offerings include basketball, a team-focused class that helps build fundamental skills; Zumba, where no dance skills are required; and Fitness & Friends, a low impact exercise and social class.

Spring Classes

ADAPTED BASKETBALL
Ages 18+
Every Other Thursday, March 14 – May 23
7 – 8pm | Mayerson JCC
J Members: FREE | Public: $25

In this exciting team-focused exercise class, participants will work on basketball fundamentals while socializing and being active. Participants should be able to engage independently or with the help of their own personal care assistant.

 

FITNESS & FRIENDS
Ages 16+
Sundays, March 10 – May 26
1 – 3pm | Mayerson JCC
J Members: FREE | Public: $25

This engaging adaptive class offers low-impact exercise, socializing, and creative crafts. Participants should be able to engage independently or with help of their own personal care assistant.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS POWERLIFTING

Ages 16+
Saturdays, March 16 – May 25
12 – 1pm | Mayerson JCC
J Members: FREE | Public: $25 (LL Fitness Floor – 6 participants)

Join us in partnership with the Special Olympics of Hamilton County (SOHC) for powerlifting courses and training. Spots are limited so sign up quickly.

Note: Class will not take place on Saturdays, September 16 (Rosh Hashanah – building will be closed) and November 25 (Thanksgiving week).
