PJ Library Engagement Grant Awarded to Mayerson JCC

The Mayerson JCC PJ Library is excited to be among the recipients of this year’s PJ Library Engagement Grants for Implementing Partners, receiving $15,000 to renew their PJ Library Parent Ambassadors program. This grant will continue to help expand and deepen engagement opportunities for families raising Jewish children.

The PJ Library Parent Ambassador program is designed to expand PJ Library’s reach throughout Cincinnati and beyond the local JCC. A team of three parent ambassadors will be empowered to connect with new and previously unengaged families, welcoming them into the PJ community. Each ambassador will focus on building relationships through individual coffee or ice cream meetings, inviting families to programs, hosting neighborhood playdates, and attending other local events for young families to meet new participants.

A vibrant family engagement community is one that actively reaches out to find new families, builds relationships between and amongst families, engages them in high-quality Jewish experiences, and empowers parents to take the lead in their family’s Jewish life.

Welcome to our new PJ Parent Ambassadors: Stefanie Swiger, Becca Noy, and Kyle Frank.

Each month, the Mayerson JCC, in partnership with PJ Library, sends 900+ Jewish children’s books to more than 600 Jewish families in our community. There is no cost for the families because the JCC covers the annual fee for each of the PJ Library subscriptions. It takes many supporters to provide the resources needed so that the JCC can continue to provide free PJ Library books and programs for our community.

We are grateful to the organizations and people who make PJ Library possible in Cincinnati. The program is done in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, with generous funding from Anne Heldman, the Fisher Family (founding sponsor), and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.

PJ Library Connectors:

Stefanie Swiger Family

Stefanie Swiger
Hi! I’m Stefanie. I grew up in Cincinnati and currently live in Pleasant Ridge with my husband, Jon, and our 1-year-old son, Oliver. We are having a lot of fun figuring out how to be parents. I’m looking forward to continuing to help build a strong community of connected parents in a city I love!

Becca Noy Family

Becca Noy

Hi! I’m Becca. I grew up in Orlando, Florida and moved to Israel when I was 18. In Israel, I met my husband, Lioz, and started a family. We have two boys, Lev (5) and Liav (3). After 15 years in Israel, we decided to move back to the States. We’ve been in Cincinnati for five months and love this community and city. Being a parent connector, in a relatively new-to-me community, is a real blessing. Not only am I getting to know this community better, but I have the joy of welcoming new families to Cincinnati and returning the warm welcome my family just recently received. Thank you, and I look forward to meeting you soon!

Kyle Frank
Hi! I’m Kyle, mom to two beautiful boys, Maverick and Felix. I grew up in Cincinnati and am so happy to be back surrounded by family and friends after a decade of living in Chicago. I grew up very active in the Jewish community here, including attending Yavneh Day School, going to camp at both Camp Livingston and later Emma Kaufmann. I was also a leader in BBYO. I was an ambassador of J Baby (PJ Library’s programming for expectant and new parents in Chicago), and I am excited to bring that experience as a PJ Connector here! I loved the community that J Baby brought me and my family as a new mom. I cannot wait to welcome families in the city to this incredible organization!
