J Serve brings people together through meaningful service experiences rooted in Jewish values.
Through volunteer opportunities at the Mayerson JCC and throughout the Cincinnati community, participants can support the work of local partner organizations, learn more about the needs of our community, and explore the connection between service and Jewish tradition.

Our Impact
Every J Serve project is an opportunity to support our community, build meaningful connections, and put shared values into action.
Through partnerships with organizations across Cincinnati, participants contribute their time and talents to causes that matter, both inside the walls of the Mayerson JCC and throughout the wider community.

Tikkun Olam
Repairing the world through action, service, and a commitment to creating positive change.
Chesed
Showing lovingkindness, compassion, and care for others.
Jewish tradition also reminds us that meaningful change is a shared and ongoing responsibility: “It is not your duty to finish the work, but neither are you at liberty to neglect it.”

The Talmud also teaches that every person has infinite worth: “Whoever saves a single life, it is considered as if they saved an entire world.”

These teachings inspire J Serve participants to recognize the importance of every act of service, no matter how large or small.
