We are getting so excited to embark on the March of the Living! Our delegation is shaping up to be an awesome group of teens that are passionate about learning their own Jewish history. Together over the past couple of months we have studied the various historical events leading up to the Holocaust. A cycle of hatred and prejudice towards the Jewish people created a very volatile climate for European Jewry. We have been working hard in collaboration with the Nancy and David Wolf Holocaust and Humanity Center to help educate our teens about the Shoah. It has been hard work and we have learned a lot about how people used hate to guide their actions.
As we prepare for the trip we have been making lots of new friends from around Cincinnati. Although the topics we have been learning about in our seminars are far from happy, we have been able to take comfort in each other’s company. Each one of our delegates has their own unique personality that is beginning to shine through in our group. It has been a great joy to watch new friendships and bonds already begun to form. Together we are building a better tomorrow for Cincinnati. We will continue to grow as a group, as we move our programing up to the JCC for our next seminar on March 12th. See you there!
