David Solomon to Join Mayerson JCC as Chief Operating Officer

David Solomon

The Mayerson JCC is pleased to announce that David Solomon will join the executive team as Chief Operating Officer. His start date will be determined in partnership with his current employer, the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, to ensure a smooth transition.

David brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in Cincinnati’s Jewish nonprofit community, including ten years at the JCC—five of which he served as Director of Operations. Known for his operational excellence, collaborative leadership style, and deep commitment to Jewish life, David has played an integral role in strengthening the institutions that shape our community.

After earning his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from The Ohio State University in 2008, David went on to receive his Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from Northern Kentucky University in 2013. He is a graduate of both the Jewish Nonprofit Leadership Institute (JNLI, 2015) and the JCC Association’s Leadership Training Institute (2019).

David’s professional journey reflects a steady progression of leadership and service. He previously served as Executive Director of Rockdale Temple, Chief Operating Officer of the Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center, and most recently worked in Operations at the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, where he led strategic initiatives to enhance organizational effectiveness and community impact.

A lifelong JCC member, David quite literally grew up at the “old” J—playing sports, attending summer camp, and later returning as an active participant in the softball league, youth and family programs, and fitness community. He lives in Montgomery with his wife and son.

“David has a long history with the J,” said CEO Holly Wolfson. “He brings both institutional knowledge and fresh perspective to the role. His proven leadership, operational acumen, and passion for Jewish community life make him the perfect partner as we continue to grow and strengthen the JCC for the next generation.”
