Exciting news! For the 18th year running, the Meals on Wheels network is participating in the 2025 Subaru Share the Love Event. The Mayerson JCC Meals on Wheels is thankful to be able to participate in the event for the last seven years! We’re incredibly grateful to Subaru and its Retailers for supporting our organization and the seniors we serve.
Subaru is the largest automotive donor to Meals on Wheels America, the leadership organization supporting the more than 5,000 community-based providers dedicated to addressing senior hunger and isolation. This network serves virtually every community in America and, along with more than two million staff and volunteers, delivers the nutritious meals, friendly visits, and safety checks that enable America’s seniors to live nourished lives with independence and dignity. Through our partnership with Meals on Wheels during the Share the Love Event, Subaru and our retailers have helped deliver nearly 5 million meals and friendly visits to America’s seniors.
Why does Subaru support Meals on Wheels? 1 in 3 seniors live alone and millions are struggling with hunger and isolation. For many older adults, a Meals on Wheels visit is the only meal and sometimes the only conversation they’ll have all day. Selecting Meals on Wheels America as your Share the Love charity of choice helps providers deliver nutritious meals with friendly visits to homebound seniors year-round, fund vital safety checks and support volunteers and staff who keep seniors connected.
Three simple steps to make a big impact:
- Visit a participating Subaru retailer between November 20 – January 2.
- Purchase or lease a new Subaru vehicle.
- Select “Meals on Wheels America” as your national charity of choice.
Subaru will then donate on your behalf and make a direct impact in the lives of seniors who rely on Meals on Wheels. With only 1% of all philanthropic giving supporting senior causes each year, your choice matters more than ever.
From November 20, 2025 through January 2, 2026, Subaru and its retailers will donate a minimum of $300 to charities, like Meals on Wheels, for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased to the customer’s choice of participating charities. Meals on Wheels is one of four national participating charities and has been since the inception of the event. All dealerships offer the option of giving to one of the four national charities or a pre-approved Hometown Charities of their choice. Through this event, as a member of Meals on Wheels America, Mayerson JCC will receive a share of the donation from Subaru vehicles sold at participating Subaru Retailers.
