Beginning in November, Whitney Fisch will join the Mayerson JCC executive team as Chief Program Officer. She will replace Holly Wolfson, who was named CEO in October.
Whitney has spent more than two decades building engaged and thriving Jewish communities, developing leaders, and advancing mental health education.
After graduating from The College of Wooster, Whitney began her career in 2003 as the Jewish Student Life Coordinator at the University of Georgia Hillel. She later served as Graduate and Young Professional Program Director for the Hillels of Illinois and as Director of Outreach and Education at the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs in Chicago, where she deepened her commitment to social justice and Jewish values.
Her passion for Jewish learning led her to The Pardes Institute of Judaic Studies in Jerusalem for a year of immersive study. She went on to earn her Master of Social Work with a focus in community organizing from the University of Michigan, where she was named a National Community Scholar.
Over the following decade, Whitney served as a school counselor and educational administrator, most recently as Director of Health and Wellness at Milken Community Schools in Los Angeles. In 2020, she became Executive Director of Hillel at Miami University, where she led the organization through a period of significant growth and revitalization.
Most recently, Whitney served as CEO of BaMidbar, where she led the organization through a successful acquisition with a major national Jewish organization, ensuring BaMidbar’s legacy of promoting mental health and resilience in Jewish communities would continue to thrive on a national scale.
Whitney lives in Blue Ash with her husband, three kids, and dog, George.
“Whitney brings with her a wealth of experience, passion, and vision,” said CEO Holly Wolfson. “I am beyond excited that she is joining the executive team at the J. Her diverse background in Jewish learning, education, and community leadership will make a lasting impact on our JCC and the greater Cincinnati Jewish community.”
