Jewish Values
Cincinnati’s Camp at the J incorporates values-based learning where children learn about core values of respect, kindness, and community. Campers learn about Israel and international Jewish life through Jewish culture. At the end of each week, we gather for Shabbat Sing, where we celebrate our JCC camp community and give out weekly awards.

FAQs
We have a public rate, but J Members will receive a reduced rate. More information on becoming a member, please contact our membership at [email protected]
Camp at the J strives to include all campers. We do not deny admission to our camp, or to the benefits of our program services because of race, color, national origin, gender identity, ability, or age.
Advocates are trained staff assigned to campers with a range of learning, developmental, and/or physical disabilities. Advocates work in a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio with campers to further support camper success at camp.
Need-based financial aid may be available. Please contact our Membership Director Ariel Gamm for more information at 513.792.5652 or [email protected].
Campers should pack each day:
- Packed lunch
- Water bottle
- Snacks
- Swimsuit
- Towel
- Hat
- Sunscreen
Please label all camper belongings with full name to ensure items return with them each day.
Campers should wear comfortable shorts and t-shirts that are okay to get dirty. For your child’s safety, socks and sneakers (closed toe and heel) are required. Sandals, Crocs, and flip-flops may be packed for swimming or water activities. Pioneers and Trailblazers campers are encouraged to wear their swimsuit under their clothing to camp as they will swim daily before lunch.
All campers will receive one camp T-shirt for FREE.
Your child’s name, photograph, or video clip may be used by the J in news articles and publications unless we receive a written objection prior to the first day of camp. If you would to request your child not be used in future publicity, please contact us at [email protected].
In the event of a minor accident or injury, first aid will be administered on site. Should the accident or injury require more than basic first aid, 911 will be called and your child will be treated by a professional EMS or transported to the hospital. In this event, a parent or guardian will be contacted immediately.
The J has a ratio of lifeguards to patrons 1:25. We hire only experienced/certified lifeguards and provide mandatory periodic testing and in-service training sessions. J lifeguards will always wear hip packs containing basic emergency equipment.
Campers will have the opportunity to take a swim test with our lifeguards each Monday. Campers who do not pass will take daily swim lessons until they can pass the swim test.
We do not offer a sibling discount. If your family has a membership through the JCC, we do have need-based financial aid available. Please contact our Membership Director Ariel Gamm for more information at 513.792.5652 or [email protected].
