Caring for Caregivers

Caring for caregivers

Do you call a parent or loved one more than one time per week? Do you grocery shop or prepare meals for a parent or loved one? Do you manage finances, schedule doctor appointments or coordinate transportation for a parent or loved one? If so, you are a caregiver.

Caring for a loved one can be both one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences in life. Fifty three million Americans provide care to a family member or friend with functional needs or health impairment by assisting with medications, arranging doctor appointments, or helping with daily living activities such as preparing meals.

Caregiving can be stressful and lead to personal challenges, whether physical, financial, or mental health. The Caring for Caregivers series, being offered in partnership with Jewish Hospital Mercy Health, offers lectures and conversation catered to the needs of the caregiver. We will explore helpful tips and resources for finding balance and alleviating stress while navigating care.
