Adult & Teen Programs

Our inclusive fitness classes are for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities who are able to participate independently or with the help of their own personal care assistant.

Adapted Basketball

Overview

In these engaging fitness classes, participants will improve their fitness level, learn new skills, and socialize with each other. Offerings include basketball, a team-focused class that helps build fundamental skills; Zumba, where no dance skills are required; and Fitness & Friends, a low impact exercise and social class.

Summer Classes

ADAPTED TOTAL BODY WORKOUT
Wednesdays, June 5 – August 14
7 – 8pm | Mayerson JCC
J Members: FREE | Public: $25
This inclusive adapted workout combines cardio and strength training in a circuit format, with stretching and yoga for a total body workout. Participants should be able to engage independently or with the help of their own personal care aide.

Sundays, June 2 – August 18
1 – 3pm | Mayerson JCC
J Members: FREE | Public: $25
This engaging adaptive class offers low-impact exercise, socializing, and creative crafts. Participants should be able to engage independently or with the help of their own personal care assistant.
