Jamie has been managing, supervising, and directing fitness for a combined 25+ years in medical based facilities, university athletics, and health clubs. He graduated from the California University in Pennsylvania with a master degree in Health Promotion and Exercise Science with emphasis in rehabilitation after receiving the National Academy of Sports Medicine national award for the Pursuit of Excellence in the fitness industry. He also received a bachelor degree from the University of Cincinnati in Health Promotions with emphasis in Exercise Physiology and an associate degree in business management.
He has been known for teaching continuing education to fitness professionals. Jamie served as National Fitness Director for one of the world’s largest leisure management companies where he led many different types of fitness facilities including commercial multi-purpose fitness, hospitality, private fitness centers, and many others. In addition, he served as the Regional Personal Training Manager for a collection of hospital-based facilities.
Jamie completed certifications with the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist, and Fitness Nutrition Specialist. Additionally, he completed the credential of a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association which certifies collegiate strength and conditioning coaches. Jamie also practices Muscle Activation Techniques and has completed the Jump-Start courses in Trunk & Spine, Lower Body and Upper Body.
He has delivered over 15,000 hours of fitness instruction and has been responsible for the continuing education of other professionals for over 15 years. In addition, Jamie has trained over 15 athletes who have reached the ranks of their prospective professional leagues including a NFL leading tackler and ultra-marathon winner, over 400 division one collegiate athletes, and countless high school and middle school standouts including athletes from 5 different state championship teams and Indiana Mr. Football. Prior to his professional career, Jamie received the Coaches’ Character Award for his contribution to the Middletown Middies his senior season of football. Jamie is passionate about fitness and enjoys practicing what he preaches. He has completed two full 26.2 mile marathons and has been strength and conditioning for over 30 years.
