Emily Fisher

Emily graduated from Indiana University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in special education. She began her career as an educator in the District of Columbia Public School system where she taught for six years. She then earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Iowa in 2020. She was also a 2023 fellow with National Endowment for Humanities’ Disability Justice in Media program at Wayne State University.

Emily comes to us having served as the Lead Accessibility Specialist for Jonathan Jennings ES within the Indianapolis Public School system where she was recognized as a Top 6 Educator in 2023 and awarded Teacher of the Year. As a native of Cincinnati, she is excited to return home and join the JCC team as we continue to build a more inclusive community.
