Children Programs

PJ Library offers the gift of free, high-quality Jewish books and music to children ages 0 – 11 years with at least one Jewish parent.

Free Jewish Storybooks Delivered Each Month!

PJ Library sends curated, award-winning storybooks and activities for kids from birth through age 12. The program sparks meaningful conversation and provides opportunities to explore and celebrate Jewish life together.

PJ Library welcomes the incredible diversity of Jewish experience. We’re proud to be part of a community that includes families of all backgrounds, of single or multiple faiths, and at all levels of Jewish knowledge and observance.

J Baby – Winter 2026

Join in community with others who are expecting their first child during this prenatal series. The program will include courses taught by certified professionals, pediatricians, and doulas and will prepare parents for labor and delivery, breastfeeding, and newborn safety. Enjoy this experience together to further deepen your connection with other families at this stage of life. Delicious dinner will be provided at each session! Rolling in to Purim

Join us for a fun-filled Purim celebration with PJ Library! We’ll get our hands messy making delicious hamantaschen and learn about the sweet traditions of Purim. Perfect for young children and their grown-ups—come roll, fill, and bake with us! With help from Shelanu Teens! Only kids making hamantaschen need to buy a ticket! Please register an adult ticket to attend with the children making hamantaschen.

Tales & Treats: A Chocolate Passover

Ages 12 & Under Families will enjoy all the parts of a seder plate, but with yummy chocolate sweet treats and an interactive reenactment of the Exodus story—perfect for young kids to learn, play, and celebrate together. Please select a ticket if you are getting a seder plate. If you are not planning to have a seder plate, please select the free adult ticket option.

Mezuzah on the Door

Ages 12 & Under Sweet traditions await! Join us for a fun, hands-on family program where we’ll decorate mezuzah-shaped sugar cookies, create simple crafts, and learn about the special symbol found on many Jewish doorways. Perfect for young kids and their grownups. Presented in Partnership by PJ Library and Adath Israel Congregation.

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Shavuot!

In partnership with the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati, and thanks to generous funding from Anne Heldman, the Fisher Family (Founding Sponsor), and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.
