Joshua Al-lateef Jr. Swim Lesson Scholarship

The Mayerson JCC is proud to partner with the Joshua Al-Lateef Jr. Foundation to offer a swim lesson scholarship designed to increase access to water safety and swim instruction for neurodivergent children.

Swim Instructor Helping a Child

Due to strong interest and limited capacity, the scholarship is currently full and new applications will be placed on a waitlist.

This scholarship was created in memory of Joshua Al-Lateef Jr., a West Chester child whose life and legacy continue to inspire efforts that support inclusion, safety, and opportunity for children and families. Together with the foundation, the J is committed to creating meaningful, supportive experiences that help children build confidence and essential life skills in the water.

About the Scholarship

Selected participants will receive:

Lessons are designed to meet each child where they are, focusing on comfort, confidence, and safety in the water.

Who Can Apply

Applications will be reviewed by the J’s Aquatics team, with care given to creating the most supportive experience possible for each participant.

Timeline

Space is limited, and not all applicants may be selected. Families who are not awarded the scholarship will have the option to learn more about additional swim lesson opportunities at the J.
