Florence, the Cradle of the Renaissance and Mother of the Arts, exists today much as it did hundreds of years ago. We visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore complex, located in the Piazza del Duomo. Then it’s on to the Accademia Gallery, whose most prominent attraction is Michelangelo’s David, created between 1501 and 1504. After visiting the Uffizi Gallery, we’ll climb the tower at the Palazzo Vecchio and see the Ponte Vecchio.
