Executive Team Administrator

Description

The Executive Team Administrator provides high-level administrative and operational support to the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Programming Officer, and Chief Marketing & Development Officer. This position plays a critical role in supporting the work of the JCC’s senior leadership team, ensuring smooth coordination of executive-level functions, managing communications, preparing reports, and assisting in board and committee operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE

·       Serve as the primary administrative support to the CEO and other executive leaders, managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating logistics for executive and board activities.
·       Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations on behalf of executives.
·       Manage meeting preparation, including agenda creation, materials distribution, room setup, and follow-up documentation.
·       Support Board of Trustees and committee meetings, including maintaining records, preparing packets, taking minutes, and tracking follow-up actions.
·       Assist with expense reimbursements, invoice processing, and credit card coding for executive team members.
·       Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries for executives as needed.

Afternoon Enrichment Teacher

Description

The Afternoon Enrichment Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging and educational activities for students in the afternoon enrichment program. This includes developing lesson plans, creating hands-on learning experiences, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment for students from ages 3 -13. The Afternoon Enrichment Teacher will ensure the safety of the students involved.

After School Coordinator / ECS Administrative Support

Description
The After School Coordinator / ECS Administrative Support role is a position responsible for (1) providing daily operational and administrative support to the Early Childhood School (ECS), and (2) coordinating the J’s After Crew after-school program for children ages 5–12, including supervision of After Crew staff. This role supports a positive, caring, and well-run environment for both children and staff through strong organization, compliance oversight, and hands-on leadership.

Schedule & Structure: This position runs 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM with a one-hour break. Mornings are dedicated to ECS administrative and operational support, while afternoons/evenings are focused on After Crew leadership and program coordination.

  • Coordinate daily After Crew operations for the J’s five-day-a-week after-school program.

Advocate Coordinator (CAMP)

Description

The Advocate Coordinator plays a leadership role in supervising Advocate Counselors and supporting them with camper-specific programming and accommodations. They provide daily check-ins and coaching, conduct observational evaluations, and support Advocate Counselors in building relationships with campers. Additionally, the Advocate Coordinator manages communication with families in the program, regularly collaborates with caregivers and staff to modify/create individualized recreational support plans, and leads workshops and trainings on behavior management and inclusion throughout the summer.

Regular Job Duties
  • Plan and execute a 2-day Advocate-specific training in conjunction with the Camp Directors and JCC Inclusion Coordinator
  • Become the “resident expert” of our campers who have Advocate Counselors
  • In the Spring, receive all intake data for campers and meet with the Inclusion Coordinator and Camp Directors to be briefed on all families and staff in the Advocate Program
  • Meet with the JCC Inclusion Coordinator weekly to discuss strategies for communicating with parents, modifying individual camper recreational plans, context for providing feedback to Advocate Counselors, and requesting in-field observations and/or support
  • Daily meetings with Camper Care Team (Advocate Coordinator, Unit Heads, Mental Health Professional, Camp Director) to discuss any emerging needs and pertinent camper or staff updates
  • Maintain accurate records of parent communication, camper behavior incidents, and any other situations regarding campers and/or staff in the Advocate program
  • Develop Individual Recreation Plans for all campers in the program in collaboration with the JCC Inclusion Coordinator and Advocate Counselor
  • Supervise and mentor Advocate Counselors and support them with daily informal check-ins and provide camper-specific programming, scaffolding, and accommodations
  • Actively promote all-camp inclusion initiatives and reinforce these expectations with all staff

Advocate Counselor (CAMP)

Description

The Advocate Counselor provides 1:1 or 1:2 support to campers, ensuring their safety, well-being, and inclusion in all camp activities. They collaborate with the Advocate Coordinator to develop and implement individual recreation plans, adapt group activities, and provide scaffolding to meet their campers’ needs. Advocate Counselors actively promote inclusion, assist with swim activities, and facilitate peer-to-peer interaction. They may also design and implement alternative activities when necessary to support campers. Additionally, they participate in staff training, maintain a clean and safe camp environment, and uphold Camp at the J’s policies and procedures.

Under the supervision of the Advocate Coordinator, general daily responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
  • Work with the Advocate Coordinator to assist in the development of individualized recreation plans, setting goals, tracking progress, and adjusting as the summer progresses
  • Modify existing camp operations (routines, schedules, procedures) to be accessible for campers based on their support needs
  • Utilize and collaborate in the development of tools to support your assigned camper(s) (such as personal schedules, fidget tools, visual timers, etc.)
  • Being flexible and willing to adjust programming based on your camper’s needs:
    • Gaining approval from the Unit Head or Advocate Coordinator to join a different activity
    • Organizing a smaller activity adjacent to the bunk activity
    • Identifying a calming space and facilitating “cool down” activities

Junior Counselor (CAMP)

Description

Jr. Counselors (JCs) generally have some or no experience working with school-age students and work collaboratively with and under the guidance of Senior Counselors (SCs). JCs may be asked to perform more individual, specific tasks as the SCs oversee the entire group. JCs are a key part of the team who demonstrate what is expected of all counselors and understand the importance of role modeling.

They can facilitate almost any general camp activity and may have training in specialized activities.

Unit Head (CAMP)

Description

The Unit Head is responsible for supporting counselors with camper behavior management, overseeing attendance and bunk assignments, and ensuring safe, smooth transitions and activities, including at the pool. They provide ongoing coaching and conduct observational evaluations of counselors, coordinate staffing and scheduling needs, and actively participate in staff training, workshops, and event planning. Additionally, the Unit Head upholds safety standards, fosters a positive camp environment, and collaborates with leadership on various initiatives to enhance camper and staff experiences.

The Support Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting the Activities Coordinator with planning and executing weekly camp activities, skits, and events that align with the camp’s themes and values. They are responsible for preparing and organizing materials, decorations, and props for theme days and special activities, ensuring everything is ready for smooth event execution. The Support Coordinator also supports daily camp operations by assisting counselors with tasks such as camper transitions, supply management, and covering breaks, all while fostering a positive and energetic camp environment.

Description

The Office Administrator works with the Assistant Camp Director to communicate with families, coordinate field trips, and organize files. This is a seasonal position operating late-May through early-August.

The Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for providing quality fitness and exercise programs designed to meet the needs of members, residents or guests.

Responsibilities

Ensuring that a safe and healthy environment exists for exercising
Arriving to teach class in advance of the scheduled time to greet participants, answer questions and address concerns

Job Description

Arch Amenities Group, the world’s leading spa, fitness and leisure firm, is seeking part-time Lifeguards at the Mayerson JCC of Cincinnati.  The Lifeguard is responsible for providing a safe and fun environment for all participants utilizing the aquatic facility.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety of all swimmers by preventative measures and minimizing hazardous situations. Enforcement of all pool rules and regulations in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Provide quick response to emergency situations in water/deck area.
  • Conduct ongoing maintenance: adjust feeders when necessary, check operations of pump and flow meter, vacuum pool, wash down deck and pump room, clean stainless steel and filters, record pool readings, etc.
  • Be knowledgeable on all aquatic information and programming. Display a professional appearance with appropriate dress/uniform.
  • Is timely and punctual when reporting to work. Ensure the aquatic area is safe, clean and orderly.
  • Other duties as assigned

Aquatics Instructor

Job Description

Arch Amenities Group, the world’s leading spa, fitness and leisure firm, is seeking an Aquatics/Swim Lessons Instructor. The Aquatics Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction for all levels of swim lessons to participants of all ages and abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively teach all levels of swim instruction under Swim Lessons University standards, possessing full knowledge of the skills at each level.
  • Effectively communicate with parents the appropriate class enrollment level for all children.
  • Maintain a familiarity with the registration process and current class schedules.
  • Provide ongoing, effective communication with reception desk regarding all classes and programming.
  • Prepare award certificates, patches, and cards upon completion of the course.
  • Ensure safety of all swimmers by preventative measures and minimizing hazardous situations.
  • Enforcement of all pool rules and regulations in a polite and courteous manner.
  • Provide quick response to emergency situations in water/deck area.
  • Be knowledgeable on all aquatic information and programming.
