An Introduction To Wine In Jewish Life: A Pairing Of Tastings And Traditions

How does wine make Judaism come alive? Enjoy an evening of pairing kosher and mevushal wine with wisdom in Jewish life as Simon Levin, regional sales manager of Royal Wine Corporation, and Rabbi Drew Kaplan lead us on an adventure of tastings and traditions. This tasting will pair five wines with light hors d’oeuvres creating a memorable experience. The wines included are Herzog SR Napa Cabernet, Carmel Mediterranean 2013, Hagafen Lake County White Reisling, Bartenura Sparkling Moscato Rose and Herzog Lineage Momentus.

An Introduction to Wine in Jewish Life guests will enjoy pre-plated hors d’ oeuvres, and pre-poured wine seated at tables with social distancing.

We will visit Cincinnati’s memorable sites and buildings from Lunken Airport to the College of Mt. St. Joseph, and the Anderson Ferry to Western Hills High School; from Spring Grove Cemetery to the Mansions of Clifton, Burnet Woods, and the Cincinnati Zoo, as well as areas of town hit hard by the Great 1937 Flood.

Have you always wanted to learn Mah Jongg? Debbie Barnett’s School of American Mah Jongg is now offering online courses for our JCC to learn and play from your own home in a relaxed setting. This beginner session consists of 5 classes, 2 hours per class. Come learn with only 3 students ensuring individual attention to help you master the game.
