Honeymoon Israel is a great opportunity for young couples, ages 25 to 40 with at least one Jewish partner, who are preparing to get married or have gotten married within the last five years to travel to Israel. The program welcomes Cincinnati couples of diverse backgrounds, including interfaith and LGBTQ couples, and seeks to engage with couples who may not have a strong connection to the Jewish community. Couples must reside in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Honeymoon Israel Cincinnati has officially been announced as one of two new cities for the coming year. The trip is scheduled for November 29-December 9, 2018.
Important dates to mark down:
March 5 – April 16: Couples who are interested in participating can submit an application through the Honeymoon Israel website.
March 22: Honeymoon Israel staff will be in Cincinnati for an Information Night. Learn more about the program and the application process. Details can be found here.
May 14/May 15: Couples being considered for Honeymoon Israel Cincinnati will be interviewed at the Mayerson JCC.
The Mayerson JCC and the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati are partnering with Honeymoon Israel to bring this trip to our community and will be responsible for creating opportunities for the trip participants to connect Jewishly in Cincinnati. Thanks to the generous support of The Jewish Foundation of Cincinnati, the trip is highly subsidized and therefore costs only $2,200 per couple including airfare and land. The trip is geared toward couples who are interested in exploring the ways in which they want to incorporate Judaism into their relationship and/or family—in whatever way is meaningful for them. The trip provides a great platform for 20 couples to build community with one another during and after the trip, as all of the participants live in the Greater Cincinnati area.
