Susan Cain | Bittersweet
Kathryn Schulz | Lost & Found
Bittersweet by best-selling author Susan Cain is an inspiring read that mixes personal memoir with other individuals’ stories. It links the sorrow one feels due to the passage of time with the immense joy life continues to offer. This bittersweetness once understood can be a life enriching gift.
Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Kathryn Schulz’s Lost and Found is a personal meditation on grief due to loss, and the love that is still out there to be found. This memoir eloquently describes how her father’s death originally overwhelms her yet eventually leads towards life fulfilling growth.
Both authors will join us virtually to speak about the ways we can grow and find enrichment from the dualities of life — light and dark, birth and death, love and grief, bitter and sweet, lost and found.
Authors Susan Cain and Kathryn Schulz will be in conversation with Jean Feinberg, a Mayerson JCC Arts & Ideas volunteer and supporter.
