October 16 @ 5:00 pm – 5:30 pm
For 738 days, Bring Them Home t-shirts lined the Mayerson JCC lobby, reminding us daily that our hostages were not home and that our Jewish community was broken. Finally, we have joyously reached the long-awaited return of twenty living hostages to their families, even as we mourn those no longer living, who are expected to be returned in the days ahead. After two long years, the war has ceased, and we can all begin the process of healing, rebuilding, and working toward a day when we find peace.
Join us as we gather to pray, sing, and create a space as a community to cry in joy and heartbreak. At this time, we plan to dismantle the display outside the Amberely Room, and we dream of creating a communal art piece to remember what these items meant to us.
