October 21 @ 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm
Understand the Headlines. Discover the history.
We’re living through history in real time. But to make sense of today, we need to look back.
The relationship between the State of Israel and the Arab world is one of the central forces shaping the character of the State of Israel. This relationship has experienced many ups and downs since the early days of the Zionist movement.
The October 7th attack and the ensuing “Iron Swords War” represent one of the most brutal rounds of violence in the relationship between Israel and its neighbors. The results of this war are expected to change the nature of the State of Israel and Israeli society.
During the course, we will study the historical roots of the Arab-Jewish conflict in the Middle East in general, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in particular. We will also learn about and discuss the current State of Israel in light of the security reality it faces.
The sessions will serve as a safe space, where participants are encouraged to ask questions, express opinions, and seek advice.
One-time registration includes all 8 sessions.
Originally listed with a $118 (~$15/session) fee, this course is now offered at no required cost. We invite you to join, and if you wish, you may make a donation of any amount to the Israel Emergency Fund.
